50 rooms. This structure is modern and comfortable, very spacious and inviting atmosphere, complemented by friendly staff providing a warm welcoming service. The Historic centre of Aosta is 500m away, also Train Station and bus station are about 10 minutes walk away. The rooms are elegantly furnished, air-conditioning, TV with in-house movies available (charges payable locally) radio, telephone, minibar, safety deposit box, bathroom with hairdryer. Also available rooms more spacious, where it is possible to add an extra sofa bed for a child not more than 12 years old, or a sofa bed (double bed suitable for 2 children or 1 adult). Restaurant buffet breakfast. The Restaurant “Taverne Provencale” restaurant offers typical traditional and international cuisine, dinner menu with a choice and waitress service. Location

Hotel Norden Palace is centrally located, only 500m from historic centre of Aosta. The gondola to the ski area of Pila is walkable (approximately 10 minutes, 2 km). There is also a free ski bus that leaves from the hotel to the gondola. The main bus station is about a 10 minutes walk from the hotel from where there a regular bus service runs to Courmayeur, Turin and Milan. Buses run every half hour to Courmayeur. To the Turin Airport there are 2 each day. The train station is located opposite the bus station.

Snowboarding: The new FREESTYLE AREA at Pila is divided into two different sectors: The PIPE ZONE includes a Half-Pipe of considerable size. 120 metres long, 15 wide and 4 high. The SLOPESTYLE ZONE: a real snowpark dedicated entirely to the most hardened snowboarders and to all freestyle-skiers, a new means of expression for youngsters in modern skiing. It consists of two “lines” of varying difficulty, so as to satisfy two different levels of riding. Also available for riders is a rail and rail-box series linked to snow structures of various sizes and difficulty. Kickers from 3, 6, 8, and up to 17 metres. A series of funbox and spines complete the many structures available. The SLOPESTYLE ZONE is conveniently served by a four-seat chair lift that climbs the entire length of the park.BoarderX trail with roller area, snakes, jumps, quarter pipes, mogul piste and wave ride, a half-pipe and two giant slalom trails.
Children: Children are guests of honour at Pila. Reduced rates, easy, safe pistes, special services and little guests from the age of 4 will enjoy the Play and Learn Ground. It is a play ground with colourful games and a “magic carpet”, a conveyer belt letting young skiers to feel the «charme» of snow. Mini club, Amusement park, Discounts, Help card, Adventure Park, bobsleighing and sledging.

Resort Information

Aosta is a city rich in Roman and Medieval remains, exhibition centres and museums, and represents the historical and cultural heart of Valle d Aosta … and it is only a short walk away from Pila, just 20 minutes by cable-car. So, the choice is up to you, lodge up the mountain or down in the valley, in any case you know that you can leave your car in the hotel garage (a free skibus shuttle service will take you from the hotel to cable-car) ... This Rome of the Alps (so called due to its huge cultural heritage) is the ideal place for an aperitif, to do some shopping in the old centre or spend an evening until late at a Saison Culturelle show, you can chose from cinema, theatre or concerts. On 30 and 31 January each year, the thousand year old Fiera di Sant Orso is held along the streets of the old centre, this is the most important and ancient craft fair of the region. Just a few kilometres away from Aosta are numerous medieval castles and manor houses, the most famous being Issogne, Verres, Fenis and Sarre which naturally you can visit.

Lastly, for those of you who like a gamble there is the casino in St. Vincent.
