You’ll find this upscale hotel on a hillside overlooking the Bay of Funchal. The views are great, and it’s central, too – it’s a 15-minute stroll into town, while the lido is a 10-minute walk away.

POOL AREA - The hotel has four pools. The outdoor ones include a saltwater number that’s surrounded by palm trees and offers panoramic sea views. And right next to it there’s a separate children’s pool and a pool bar.

The second saltwater pool is at the foot of a cliff, and from here there’s a direct path to the sea. On top of the outdoor pools, there are two indoor ones – both come complete with a Jacuzzi.
