The Ocean Coral & Turquesa by H10 is a winner when it comes to locations. It’s between Cancún and Playa del Carmen by a silk-smooth beach, where sunbeds and thatched umbrellas line up along the sand. Out at sea, there’s a coral reef nearby, which you can explore during a scuba diving lesson. Cozumel is also nearby and offers world-class diving.

You’ll need more than two hands to count all of the facilities here. There are four outdoor pools. One’s a walk-in, lake-style affair that’s surrounded by palm trees. At the others, there are waterfall fountains, a swim-up bar and views over the ocean. Each pool has a different atmosphere. There's one tailored for relaxation, plus an activity pool with aqua fitness classes. Plus, there’s a kid’s pool for the little ones.

The main buffet restaurant serves meals throughout the day. On top of that, there are six à la cartes to choose from, including Mexican and Caribbean options. There’s a Japanese restaurant with teppanyaki show-cooking, plus a dressy Italian à la carte. And for something more casual, there’s the crêperie, the pool bar or the coffee shop.

Slip into a wetsuit at the diving school*, and join one of the daily trips to explore a nearby reef. There are also outings to visit the crystal-clear Mayan cenotes. There’s a floodlit tennis court and a multi-sports court which plays host to football and basketball. Bowling's also on the cards, and down on the beach you can get a game of volleyball going.

The spa* offers health and beauty treatments, including massages on the beach. There’s also a salon* where you can have your hair styled and your nails done. There are steam baths* and a sauna*, as well as a heated pool and a sundeck.

In the Privilege Lounge there's a food and drinks service – including a wine selection, coffee and tea, hors d’oeuvres and snacks. The lounge has computers with Internet access, daily papers, plus a library and DVD selection for adults and children.

There’s a private beach area with sun loungers and Balinese beds, plus a drinks service. This area is exclusive to guests staying in a Honeymoon Suite, Privilege Master Suite or a Privilege Junior Suite.

Enjoy live music and entertainment every night in the main theatre, or on the outdoor stage by the main plaza. For the kids entertainment there’s a teen club, kids club with playground and a mini disco.
