It’s not exactly fresh out the wrapping but Palm Bay is certainly equipped to deliver a good budget break. Rooms, though sparse and a little small, are kept clean and tidy. And while the kitchenette doesn’t exactly cry out for a Ramsay-esque cooking fest, it’s fine for snacks – and, more importantly, there’s a kettle. Outside awaits a pool that’s decent enough to fritter a few hours in between day trips. And the setting is pretty good, too. The hotel looks out on a little beach, Pefkos’ centre is 10 to 15 minutes on foot, and the lovely Lindos is but a ten-minute cab ride away. All in all, it’s geared up for a quiet holiday on the cheap.
