This is a superb tour visiting many highlights of this fascinating and colourful country.
Start in bustling Delhi, where you will visit all the major highlights of both Old and New Delhi. Then on to the 'Pink City' of Jaipur where you will lunch at the famous Samode Palace.
Two national parks are featured in this tour. Ranthambore where you will enjoy game drives, on the look out for the magnificent tiger as well as other wildlife, and Bandhavgarh, famed for its birds.
In Agra you will have plenty of time to visit the romantic Taj Mahal. In Khajuraho you will visit the famous temples. Whilst in Mumbai take a walk in the famous Fort Heritage District.
Various modes of transport are experienced on this tour including two train rides and a rickshaw ride.

ITINERARY
Day 1 Delhi: Met on arrival at New Delhi Airport and transferred to your hotel.
Overnight: Vivanta by Taj Dwarka or similar
Day 2 Delhi: Today you can enjoy some wonderful sightseeing in Old and New Delhi. Visit Chandni Chowk and take a rickshaw ride. Then the UNESCO listed Humayun's Tomb, plus a visit to Dhobighat - the big open-air laundry. Drive past the Presidential Estate and other government buildings and take a photo stop at India Gate. Visit Agrasen Ki Baoli step well and Bangla Sahib Gurudwara Sikh Temple.

Day 3 Jaipur: Drive to Jaipur (275 km, approximately 6 hours) and en route stop at the magnificent Samode Palace, where you will enjoy lunch, followed by a village walk. Known as the 'Pink City', Jaipur is the capital of the colourful state of Rajasthan. It has the distinction of being a well-planned and laid out city. As you drive through the old part of town, you will witness a lifestyle most unlike others. See how the city blooms during the day in a kaleidoscope of colour and sound.

Day 4 Jaipur: Ascend the hill to visit Amber Fort, a marvellous example of Rajput architecture. Visit a local school where you can interact with the children and have the option of doing charity work. Continue your sightseeing tour of Jaipur visiting the highlights such as the City Palace, a complex of exquisite palaces, gardens and courtyards, decorative art and carved doorways. The palace museum houses collections of rare manuscripts, armoury, costumes, carpets and miniature paintings. You will also have the opportunity to wander about the local markets. Visit Laxmi Narayan temple and witness the Arti ceremony.

Day 5 Ranthambore: Drive to Ranthambore (140 km, approximately 3.5 hours) with a stop at Castle Kanota en route. This is the place where the 'Best Exotic Marigold Hotel' movie was filmed. Continue drive to Ranthambore.

Day 6 Ranthambore: Morning and Evening game drives in Ranthambore National Park, one of the finest tiger reserves in India.

Day 7 Bharatpur - Agra: Board the train for Bharatpur. Visit Bharatpur National Park by rickshaw. Explore the various species of birds. Drive to Agra (60 km, approximately 3.5 hours). In the late afternoon visit Mehtab Bagh to enjoy a glimpse of the Taj Mahal from across the Yamuna River.

Day 8 Agra: Visit the Taj Mahal at sunrise. Later, visit Agra Fort. Afternoon is at leisure to enjoy as you please.

Day 9 Jhansi - Khajuraho: Board the train for Jhansi. On arrival at Jhansi railway station, you will be met by our representative. Transfer by road to Khajuraho (170 km, approximately 3.5 hours). In the afternoon visit the eastern and western group of temples.

Day 10 Bandhavgarh: Drive to Bandhavgarh (260 km, approximately 5.5 hours). Check in at your hotel. Relax and enjoy some leisure time.

Day 14 Nagpur- Mumbai: Transfer to Nagpur Airport (250 km, approximately 5.5 hours) to board your flight to Mumbai. On arrival at Mumbai, you will be met and assisted at the airport. Transfer to your hotel for overnight.

Day 15 Mumbai: In the morning take a walk in the famous Fort Heritage District, get an insight into the complex lunch box delivery systems of the famous dabbawallas. Visit the Prince of Wales Museum and Mani Bhawan. Afterwards, see the Dhobi Ghat - the big open-air laundry system. Visit the Gateway of India and Chowpatty Beach.
