With Playa de las Americas on one side and Los Cristianos on the other, the Parque la Paz has a centre-of-it-all setting.”This place is perfect if you want to be in the middle of the action. It’s set in the lively resort of Playa De Las Americas, with bars and restaurants on the doorstep. A 15-minute walk along the promenade takes you to the neon-lit strip of Las Veronicas, where pubs and clubs line a 200-metre stretch. Walk the same distance in the other direction, meanwhile, and you’ve got Los Cristianos, where the vibe is much more low-key.

The hotel is also less than a five-minute walk from the nearest beach. It’s a big sweep of golden sand dotted with thatched parasols and loungers. And you’ve got plenty more in the way of sandy stretches close by – just follow the promenade along the coast.

The apartments themselves are simply dressed, with fresh white walls, powder-blue bedding and wooden furniture. Tall patio doors let in plenty of light and open out onto a balcony or terrace. Plus, all apartments come with kitchenettes, so you can rustle up light bites when you fancy.

Outside, a curvy pool is the main attraction. It’s set into a wide terrace, so there’s plenty of space to sunbathe. There’s a small children’s pool out here, too, as well as a shaded bar serving up snacks and drinks.

In terms of other eating options, big buffets are the order of the day. The restaurant serves up dishes from around the world at breakfast, lunch and dinner. And you can get things like sandwiches, burgers and ice creams at certain times during the day.
