The hotels used on our tours will meet the standard of a good, three-star European hotel. Rooms will have private bathrooms, telephones and TV. The vast majority will also have tea- and coffee-making facilities. There will always be a bar or restaurant on site or nearby.

Three-Star Country Inn and Suites Montgomery East, Montgomery (night 1)

This modern hotel has a seasonal outdoor swimming pool and is located near to a range of restaurants. All rooms have private facilities, TV, coffee-makers, irons and ironing boards, and hairdryers.

New Orleans Area Hotel (nights 2-3)

Situated in or near the famous French Quarter, hotels we use include the Wyndham New Orleans French Quarter and the Hampton Inn Convention Centre, both of which offer dining on the premises or close by.

Memphis Area Hotel (nights 4-5)

We've hand-picked a selection of hotels for your stay in Memphis. All are equivalent to a European three or four-star standard. Very occasionally, owing to large conventions, hotels may be located outside the downtown core.

Three-Star Holiday Inn Express Downtown, Nashville (night 6)

Centrally located in the heart of Nashville, close to many restaurants, bars and honky tonks, this hotel has a gym and an outdoor swimming pool. The hotel's restaurant serves breakfast only. Each guest room offers private facilities, TV, a coffee-maker, an iron and an ironing board, and a hairdryer.

Choo Choo Hotel, Chattanooga (night 7)

This renowned southern landmark was once the station from which the famous train ran, and is now a themed hotel. There are seven bars and restaurants to choose between, a small shopping arcade, two outdoor swimming pools and one indoor swimming pool. The rooms are set in buildings in the extensive gardens, and each has private facilities, TV, a radio, a coffee-maker, an iron and an ironing board, and a hairdryer.
